Special Language Courses offered by KSAS

KSAS offers additional language courses for the benefits of all. The Various Language Courses offered by KSAS are:
Six Months Bengali Course (Basic & Advanced), Six Months Tamil Course (Spoken and Written), Six Months Online Sanskrit Classes, Six Months Santali Course (Basic & Advanced), Three Months Spoken English Course, Six Months Urdu Course, and 1 Year JLPT Course.

Kolkata Society for Asian Studies invites registration for learning two foreign languages and five Indian languages. You can learn spoken English and Japanese with us. Those who know the languages but need to revise or know better, can join the course. The freshers are also welcome.

We are extending the timeline for registration of all the languages till September, 2025.

Story of Our Organization

Kolkata Society for Asian Studies (KSAS) was founded on 7th December 2012 with a view to explore the possibilities of the societal development of the Asian countries with special reference to India. The organization views the developmental activities of the Asian communities and societies by concentrating on different disciplines of social sciences...

Our Partners & Collaborators in Organizing Events

Kolkata Society for Asian Studies organized many Seminars and Conferences in collaboration with Various National Organizations like, Anthropological Survey of India, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA); Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (An Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India), Archaeological Survey of India (ER), Indian Council of Cultural Relation (ICCR), Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal.

We have an experience to work with various Colleges and Universities of Kolkata and different organizations of West Bengal, India; like – University of Calcutta – Department of Political Science, Department of History, Department of South and South East Asian Studies; Institute of Foreign Policy Studies (IFPS), Centre for Social Science and Humanities (CSSH). Jadavpur University - Department of International Relations, Department of Bengali, School of Languages and Linguistics.

We have collaborated with the Sarojini Naidu College for Women, Department of History, St. Xavier’s College, Raghavpur Campus; The Asiatic Society, Kolkata; Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark; Gurusaday Museum, Joka; IGNOU Study Centre (2810), Maulana Azad College, Kolkata; Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), Kolkata; Bhaktivedanta Research Centre, Kolkata; Sri Jagannath Research Centre, Kolkata. We are fortunate to receive sponsorship from the Consulate of Japan at Kolkata, and experienced to work with Stockholm University, Sweden.

Presently we are running some National and one International Language learning programs independently.
